Police asking for public's help to identify robber of BBT Bank

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Louisville Metro Police Department is asking for the public's help to identify a suspected bank robber.

It happened on Tuesday, Oct. 6 at 10 a.m. at the BBT Bank at 401 W. Main Street. According to a news release, the individual pictured at right approached an employee at the service counter and gave them a note indicating that he was armed and was demanding money.

He did not display a weapon, according to police.

After obtaining the money, police say the man fled toward the Belvedere area.

He is described as a black male, 5'-10" tall, with a medium build, between 40-50 years old.

Anyone with any information on his identity is asked to call 574-LMPD.
