LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - A controversial nightclub in the Highlands is on the verge of temporarily losing its liquor license.

Judge Pete Karem is recommending Cahoots' license be suspended for 36 days.

He made the decision following an Alcoholic Beverage Control Board hearing last month.

Nearby business owners have complained about fights and frequent drug activity at Cahoots.

The ABC also says the owner failed to live up to an agreement to provide extra security.

Cahoots has 15 days to appeal the recommendation before the director of Metro Codes and Regulations makes a final decision.
