Oldham County residents set to vote on expanded alcohol sales

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Oldham County voters will soon decide if alcohol will be sold throughout the county.

A special election is set for Dec. 29.

Nearly 6,000 people have signed a petition asking for the election.

Right now, there are only a few places in the county where people can buy packaged alcohol like wine or a case of beer.

Supporters hope a "yes" vote will boost tourism.
