LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A pilot turned a plane around when two passengers started fighting this past weekend.

The Southwest Airlines jet was on its way to San Francisco Sunday night when it returned to Los Angeles International Airport. The pilot decided to return to the airport because of a rapidly escalating situation that turned into a physical altercation.

The two passengers involved were not traveling together.

FBI agents met the plane at the gate and took one person off the plane. It's not known if that person was arrested.

The remaining 136 passengers switched planes and arrived in San Francisco about five hours later.
