Testimony resumes in Floyd Co. prosecutor's hearing over handling of Camm case

Posted: Updated:

INDIANAPOLIS (WDRB) -- Testimony resumes today in Indianapolis to determine whether Floyd County prosecutor Keith Henderson violated ethics rules in the David Camm triple murder case.

Camm's wife and two children were found murdered in the garage of their Georgetown home in September of 2000. Two convictions were overturned on appeal, and Camm was acquitted in a third trial.

Henderson is accused of "professional misconduct" in the Camm murder case.

Henderson prosecuted the second trial and is accused of negotiating a book deal about it while the case was being tried. During Monday's proceedings in Floyd County, Henderson said he never had a book deal only a literary agreement that did not commit him to writing the book.

He is also accused of using more than $27,000 of taxpayer money to pay his personal attorney to fight claims about the book.

Henderson says people on Camm's side filed the disciplinary complaint while Camm's murder conviction was still up for appeal.
