LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Western High School student was arrested Tuesday afternoon after the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department said he brought a gun to school.

According to an arrest report, it happened at the school on Rockford Lane, near Dover Road, just before 2:30 p.m.

Authorities say 18-year-old Tremone Wade was removed from the school gymnasium after being involved in a fight. When he returned to collect his possessions, the sheriff's office says a .25 caliber, semi-automatic pistol fell out of his pants pocket.

The gun had one round in the chamber and one round in the magazine, according to the arrest report.

Wade was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a weapon on school property.
