LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Jefferson County Coroner's Office has identified a four-year-old who died days after he was pulled from a lake in Henry County.

That child has been identified as Jaxon Lindsey, who died at Kosair Children's Hospital just after 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. An autopsy is scheduled to be conducted and funeral arrangements are pending, according to Deputy Coroner J. David Wood.

On Monday, Oct. 19, investigators pulled Lindsey from Lake Jericho in Henry County. At the time, he was unconscious and unresponsive, but alive.

"Dispatchers with the Kentucky State Police received a call at 6:30 p.m. that a four-year-old child had been pulled from the lake and was not breathing," a news release from Kentucky State Police states. "Kentucky State Police troopers, officers with Kentucky Fish and Wildlife and Henry County EMS were dispatched. CPR was performed on the child until Henry County EMS arrived on scene. The child was then flown to Kosair Children's Hospital in Louisville."

Lindsey died days later at the hospital. Kentucky State Police detectives have assumed the investigation of the incident.
