Jeffersonville business raided for prostitution, racketeering; four arrested

JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. (WDRB) -- Police in Jeffersonville have arrested four people in connection with allegations of prostitution and racketeering at a local business.

According to a news release, the arrests at Artistic Additions at 1596 E. 10th Street, come after a four-month long investigation.

The investigation started in July after "complaints of acts of prostitution" at the business.

Over the course of the next four months, investigators learned that employees posted advertisements within the area, soliciting "body rubs." Police say the women would arrange a massage appointment with a client at Artistic Addictions, and during the massage, "perform a sexual act with the client for a fee."

"They would take their clients back to the room, perform a body rub and in the process of the massage, perform a sexual act and be compensated for it and paid for it," said Sgt. Philip Hensley of the Indiana State Police.

Investigators also learned that the owners of Artistic Addiction -- 39-year-old Jason N. Maniloff and 36-year-old Keysha Maniloff, both of Jeffersonville -- had not filed taxes for the business through the Indiana Department of Revenue.

At 1 p.m. Friday, members of the Indiana State Police, Jeffersonville Police Department, Clark County Sheriff’s Department and Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms executed search and arrest warrants on the suspects.

Jason Maniloff was served with the arrest warrant in the Clark County Jail. Keysha Maniloff was arrested at the business along with 19-year-old Desiree Fowler, and 18-year-old Shelby Jackson, both from Louisville.

The investigation is continuing.
