Spiders take over bridge in Columbus, Ohio

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -

Many pedestrians thought it was just a Halloween decoration, but it's the real thing -- or rather around 10,000 real things.

Spiders have taken over a bridge on Main Street in Columbus, Ohio.

An expert says there are anywhere from 5,000 to 10,000 spiders along the bridge.

He says the spiders come out at night because that's when insects emerge along the river.

The Orb Weaver spider, which spins a large web, is harmless to humans.

Now the bridge is becoming a tourist destination for pedestrians who can stomach the sight.
