The Zoo will cost less starting this Sunday

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -

After the World's Largest Halloween Party ends, the Louisville Zoo will go into winter mode. No, it won't hibernate. It'll just be cheaper.

Adult (12-59) general admission will be reduced to $9.95 and $6.95 for children  (ages 3-11) and seniors (60+) starting Nov. 1, 2015 through Feb. 29, 2016.

The winter prices are geared toward attracting people in the cold winter months when wandering around outdoors and looking at animals might seem less appealing.

The Zoo will also partner with Kroger to offer a further discount if you bring a canned good to donate to Dare to Care and/or show  your Kroger Plus card.

I you bring both, you can get a free voucher to ride the carousel between March and September next year.

The Zoo is open daily year round. Fall/winter hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (exit by 5 p.m.) and continue through March 11, 2016. The Zoo is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day. For more information, visit LouisvilleZoo.org.
