LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- An overturned semi caused traffic backups in Jeffersonville, Indiana Friday morning.

It happened just before 10:30 a.m. on Hwy. 62 East at the 265 roundabout. The driver says a vehicle swerved in front of him. He says he missed the car, but the tractor-trailer overturned.

"We had a semi come off of 265, it caught the roundabout, probably going a little too fast," said Capt. Kevin Morlan with the Jeffersonville Police Department. "He said the vehicle changed lanes on him, he swerved to miss the vehicle, and flipped it over."

No one was hurt.

The semi was hauling plastic pellets.

It took several hours for crews to reopen the road because they had to offload the semi before it could be towed away.
