Election Day 2015: Ky. gubernatorial candidates Bevin and Conway cast their votes

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- WDRB caught up with both Kentucky gubernatorial candidates, Republican Matt Bevin and Democrat Jack Conway as they cast their votes Tuesday morning.

Both candidates said they're feeling confident about the race, and they're ready to accept the voters' decision.

"Election day is here. We gave it our all. I'm ready to accept the will of the voters," Conway said.

"Those who haven't voted yet, vote your values and not your party. Vote for the things that matter. Vote for the children, the kids who are here that aren't able to vote for themselves. Vote for those who've given their lives, frankly, so we have this luxury," Bevin said.

Bevin cast his vote around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Louisville Seminary Home on Alta Vista Road.

Conway voted about an hour later.

The polls close at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
