Custom LED panels will showcase acts at Kentucky Center

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Something new and flashy is coming to Main Street in Louisville.

PNC Broadway and the Louisville Theatrical Association donated $200,000 to the Kentucky Center to install new digital displays outside the building.

Two panels are already installed and working.

The LED screens were custom made for the Kentucky Center.

"These new led screens will allow every resident group and every event in the theater to rotate," said Leslie Broecker, president of PNC Broadway in Louisville. "So rather than a static piece of paper, when you're out in front of the arts center or walking down Main Street, you'll see a rotation of every single group that will be performing in the building."

The digital panels will be on continuously 24 hours a day every day of the week.

The final two LED screens are expected to be installed by Nov. 10.
