LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Authorities responded to a crash involving a Megabus and an SUV late Friday afternoon. Officials say the driver of the SUV might have a medical condition that caused the person to crash into the stopped Megabus.

"All of the sudden I felt this big jolt," passenger Isaac Weber said. "Immediately, you know, I assumed that someone hit us. I looked to my left and I saw this guy here and he looked completely dazed."

It happened at the corner of Jefferson Street and Brook Street, just before 4:30 p.m., according to MetroSafe dispatchers.

"Safety is our top priority and Megabus.com is fully cooperating with the authorities with their investigation into the incident," Sean Hughes, Director of Corporate Affairs, Megabus.com North America said.

The crash involves a Ford Explorer and the bus, a double-decker Megabus that was headed from Indianapolis to Louisville. Three injuries were reported.

A new bus was brought to take the passengers on to their final destinations.
