LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) – The Kentucky State Volleyball Championship has returned to the Assumption Rockets.

The Rockets claimed their 19th volleyball state title and fifth in the last six years, beating Owensboro Catholic three sets to none in the championship match Sunday at Valley High School.

Allie Gregory was named tournament MVP.

“My goal throughout the tournament was to be a leader,” said Gregory after the match. “It’s an awesome award but we’re a team together and we won this together.”
