LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville man has been arrested and charged with complicity to commit murder.

Tyson Gholson, 25, was arrested Monday night in the 400 block of North 29th Street, near Slevin Street.

Police say Gholson was present when a co-defendant allegedly shot a male victim in the back of the head on October 9 in the 900 block of Franklin Street, near North Campbell Street.

Authorities say the victim stated he saw Gholson allegedly hand a co-defendant a 9mm handgun.

Officials say the victim turned to walk away from the area and "was shot in the back of the head by the co-defendant at close range in an attempt to kill the victim."

Investigators say Gholson and the co-defendant left the scene after the shooting.

Police say Gholson allegedly did not try to stop the shooting and did not give aid to the victim or contact police following the shooting.

Authorities say the victim positively identified Gholson and that the two had been friends for several years.

Gholson is being held at Metro Corrections on a $500,000 cash bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.
