Veterans Court of Southern Indiana helps keep vets on the right side of the law

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A program in southern Indiana is helping veterans stay out of trouble with the law.

Four military veterans graduated from the Veterans Court of Southern Indiana on Monday. The program closely monitors veterans in the court system, and provides support and resources to help with any underlying problems.

"I'm so grateful that I ended up here. It is here that I've been able to find my foundation for my recovery. It's a daily struggle. It has daily rewards. I've been determined and I'm excited to see what God's got for me next.

The Veterans Court of Southern Indiana started in 2011. Twelve veterans have graduated since 2013, and none of them have had any more trouble with the law.
