LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A hot dog vendor accused of murder will go to trial in May.

Donald Hayes is charged with killing Danny Wilson, after an alleged road rage incident on the Watterson Expressway in June 2014.

Hayes is claiming self-defense. His attorneys are arguing that Hayes shouldn't be prosecuted because he was protecting himself.

Hayes has sold hot dogs at the corner of 6th Street and Liberty Street for decades. He posted a $50,000 full-cash bond and has been out of jail.
