Lottery to be held for $25 orchestra seats at WICKED performances

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A day-of-performance lottery for a limited number of orchestra seats will be held for The Kentucky Center performances of the musical WICKED, according to a news release from PNC Broadway in Louisville.

The musical will run from Nov. 18 to Dec. 6.

Two-and-a-half hours before each performance, people who show up at The Kentucky Center box office will have their names place in a lottery drum. Thirty minutes later, names will be drawn for a limited number of orchestra seats at $25 each.

Only cash will be accepted for these seats, and the lottery will only be available to patrons who show up in-person. There will be a limit of two tickets per person. Lottery participants will be required to provide photo ID when submitting their entry form, and, if chosen, when purchasing tickets.

WICKED is based on the 1995 best-selling novel by Gregory Maguire.
