Police release identity of person killed in Carroll County crash

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police are investigating a single-vehicle crash in Carroll County that left one person dead. 

According to a news release from Kentucky State Police, it happened Nov. 12 around 6:30 a.m. That's when the KSP Post in Campbellsburg received a call of a vehicle overturned on KY 36 West. 

Police say 36-year-old Steven Harbert of Indianapolis was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene by the Carroll County Coroner. 

Preliminary investigation shows the vehicle left the roadway, struck a concrete culvert, then overturned. Police say Harbert was not wearing a seat belt. 

Police are still investigation the cause of the crash.
