Actress Jennifer Lawrence lashes out against Kim Davis in Vogue interview
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Jennifer Lawrence says one person makes her embarrassed to be from Kentucky: Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis.
Davis refused to issue same-sex marriage licenses, saying her religious beliefs did not allow it. She spent days in jail for violating the Supreme Court's ruling, legalizing gay marriage.
Speaking to Vogue magazine, Lawrence slammed the Kentucky clerk, "all those people holding crucifixes, which may as well be pitchforks, think they're fighting the good fight. I grew up in Kentucky. I know how they are."
