60-mile motorcycle ride raises thousands of dollars for fallen police officers

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Dozens of motorcyclists rode 60 miles Saturday to support fallen officers.

The Righteous and Wicked Law enforcement Motorcycle Club has been holding these types of events to support those who have lost their lives in the line of duty.

Last year they supported military families, and proceeds benefit the Kentucky Law Enforcement Memorial Foundation.

One supporter says his house was recently broken into and police went right in without thinking twice.

"It's hard to express what that really means until you experience it," said Jimmie Guilfoyle, Clarksville Town Circuit Judge. "You think someone is inside my home that's not suppose to be there, and these guys are the ones who go and protect us from that."

The ride went through Oldham and Henry Counties.

Organizers expect to raise a couple thousand dollars.
