Bevin visits with Republican leaders on Saturday

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Governor-Elect Matt Bevin visited with Republican Party leaders Saturday to talk about the road ahead of them.

During that Republican Central Committee meeting, Bevin applauded the efforts of all his fellow party leaders for winning 106 Kentucky counties out of 120.

But he was quick to point out that neither he or anyone else in the room was that special ... it was just a cry for help.

"Our primary task is not only to do the job before us, but to ensure that we do it in a way that represents the will of the people," Bevin said. "And that's what the people have cried out for."

Bevin also addressed specific qualities he would like to have in the people closest to him.

The top three included impeccable character, a wealth of experience, and commitment to being a public servant.
