POLICE: Louisville man choked victim and stole vehicle
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police have arrested a man after they say he choked a man and stole his vehicle.
Marco Dorsey, 33, was arrested just after 4 a.m. Saturday on West Broadway, according to the official police report. Authorities say Dorsey allegedly stole the victim's vehicle on Saturday just before 4 a.m. on South 13th Street.
Police say the victim stated that Dorsey allegedly choked him while the vehicle was stopped at a red light. Dorsey then allegedly forced the victim out of the vehicle, according to police.
Officials say Dorsey allegedly took the vehicle and left the area once the victim had been forced out.
Investigators say that while police were at the scene, Dorsey allegedly drove by in the stolen vehicle.
The police report states that Dorsey was then stopped on West Broadway, where he was arrested.
Authorities say a small baggie of what police believed was cocaine was found in Dorsey's pocket during a search.
Dorsey is charged with robbery and possession of a controlled substance. He is being held at Metro Corrections on a $25,000 cash bond.
He was scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
