LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB)  -- A portion of the Louisville Loop was shut down today.

The eighth mile segment is closed from Algonquin Parkway to Camp Ground Road. It's because of work at the Metropolitan Sewer District's Bells Lane facility.

The closure is similar to one that took place in August. It turns through Monday, December 7.

The Louisville Loop is an estimated 100-mile trail system that will eventually encircle the city.
