Fire burns through Clarksville home

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A home was badly damaged in a fire Monday night.

It happened around 6 p.m. at a home on South Clark Boulevard near Stansifer Avenue in Clarksville, Ind.

Heavy smoke and flames broke through the roof and the rear of the home.

The emergency response closed the intersection of Stansifer and Clark for several hours Monday night.

No one was hurt, according to the fire chief. It was too early to tell what started the fire.

Update: A previous version of this story said the house was less than a block from the fire station. The home was four blocks from the station. This story have been updated to reflect that.
