Louisville woman with rare medical condition to undergo unusual procedure

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Imagine your doctor telling you to eat as much high-fat, high calorie food as you can possibly consume.

That's the case for one Louisville woman, who is providing new hope for her twin sister.

The bones in Janna Coleman's face stopped growing when she was 7 years old. She and her twin sister, Jessie, are about to undergo a first-of-its kind procedure in Louisville to change her appearance.

It requires Jessie to eat up.

"I've had Dominos, Ben & Jerry's, I had Arby's yesterday... it's been great," Jessie said.

Coming up today at 6 and 10, WDRB's David Scott tells us how medical procedures caused Janna's face to stop growing, and it's so important for her sister to consume as much food as possible to make the procedure successful.
