LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Jeffersonville and Clarksville Police Departments have joined forces for a great cause.

Officers raised $6,000 for Kosair Children's Hospital.

Police presented a big check to the Children's Hospital Foundation on Monday morning.

Officers also took stuffed animals and toys to the children.

"We did a fundraiser for 'No Shave November.' After talking with officers, we came together to make a donation. We thought that Kosair Children's Hospital would be the best place for our donation," said Jeffersonville Police Cpl. Jason Jackson.

The officers are participating in "No Shave November" in an effort to increase cancer awareness and raise money to support cancer prevention and research.

The Fraternal Order of Police from Clarksville and Jeffersonville also took part in the fundraising effort.
