LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A homeless woman accused of biting a two-year-old child on the breast pleaded guilty Tuesday morning.

According to the Bullitt County District Court Clerk's Office, 26-year-old Britany Rose pleaded guilty to fourth-degree Assault. She was originally charged with second-degree Criminal Abuse.

The Bullitt County Sheriff's Department arrested Rose last week after authorities say a two-year-old child was found with a bite mark on her breast.

According to an arrest report, authorities received a complaint about a disorderly woman at a home in Mt. Washington. When a sheriff's deputy arrived, he was told that a two-year-old girl was on the scene who had a "bite mark around her breast going through the nipple."

A witness at the scene allegedly told officers that the toddler said Rose bit her.

Authorities say the teeth marks were not consistent with the only other person at the residence.

"The location of the bite caused torture or cruel punishment," according to the arrest report.

Rose, who was listed as "homeless" on the report, allegedly admitted to drinking and smoking marijuana before the incident.

She was arrested at the time and charged with second-degree criminal abuse. Today's plea agreement amends that charge down to fourth-degree Assault.
