JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. (WDRB) -- Due to the strong chances of rain this weekend, Jeffersonville officials have postponed the Holiday Parade and Light Up Jeffersonville to Saturday, Dec. 5.

That's according to a news release from Paul Northam, the city's director of parks and recreation.

The parade and light-up event were scheduled for this Saturday, but the parade will now begin on Spring Street at 5 p.m. on Dec. 5.

The Light Up Jeffersonville ceremony will follow at Warder Park on Court Avenue at 5:30.

According to the City of Jeffersonville website, the event features music, refreshments, free trolley rides and a visit from Santa.
