LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The man charged with raping and killing a 7-year-old southern Kentucky girl faced a judge Wednesday -- but not for long.

Timothy Madden, 38, is accused of killing Gabbi Doolin. Police say it happened last month in a wooded area behind Allen County High School during a Little League football game.

Gabbi was found in a nearby creek about 30 minutes after she went missing.

Madden is now in jail on a $1 million full cash bond.

During Wednesday's proceedings, Madden's attorney asked for a continuance because he says he received new information in the case. His next court date was set for Dec. 14.

Madden's 20-year-old son, Bradley Madden, was also in court this morning.

He's accused of sending threatening messages to Scottsville police after his father's arrest.
