AT&T plans to launch gigabit internet speeds in Louisville area
AT&T has announced the expansion of its GigaPower service into Louisville.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- AT&T has announced the expansion of its GigaPower service into Louisville.
The company says internet through the GigaPower network is faster, allowing maximum speeds of up to one gigabit per second. At those speeds AT&T says you can download a TV show in about three seconds or an HD movie in about 36 seconds.
The fiber optic network will be available to homes, apartments and small businesses throughout the city.
GigaPower is expected to be available by the end of next year.
