LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Bullitt County Public Schools is looking for school bus drivers.

The district held a meet-and-greet Thursday night at the bus compound in Shepherdsville hoping to find new applicants. People interested had the chance to ask trainers and bus drivers questions about the job.

"The reason we are recruiting drivers at this time is because we have had some resignations and we had some retirements," Staci Goedde, the Director of Transportation of BCPS, said. "So we are needing substitute drivers and full-time drivers."

Drivers are paid more than $15 an hour, are reimbursed for training, and can earn extra money driving mid-day routes and field trips.
