LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police have arrested and charged a Louisville man with murder in connection with a homicide that took place in April.

Clifton Jones, 29, was booked into Metro Corrections shortly after 4:30 a.m. on Wednesday.

The official police warrant states that Jones allegedly shot and killed Joseph Starks on April 29.

Police say Starks' body was found in the 1100 block of South 38th Street.

Officials say Starks "had sustained multiple gunshot wounds."

Investigators say multiple witnesses stated Starks got into a black four-door Oldsmobile. Authorities say witnesses heard gunshots fired inside the vehicle, before it drove away while Starks was still inside.

Police say Starks' body was found about three days later, after he had been reported missing.

Police say the incident was captured on surveillance video by a nearby business.

Jones is being held at Metro Corrections. He is expected to appear in court on Thursday.
