LMPD Fourth Division officers offer some Christmas cheer at local nursing home

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Christmas comes early for residents at Georgetown Manor.

Fourth Division officers stopped by the nursing and rehabilitation center Wednesday on Gagel Avenue with several surprises.

The item on most residents' wish lists -- alarm clock radios.

The officers also gave out stockings with activity books and reading glasses.

"Just ways to show people here that don't have a lot of people to come and see them that there's other people out there who care about them," said Division Resource Officer Lamont Washington.

This is the second year LMPD has helped organize the Christmas celebration at Georgetown Manor.
