LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Before you and your storm troopers head to the movie theater tonight, check what kind of force you bring with you.

For safety reasons, many theaters have restrictions on costumes you can wear to see "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." Some won't allow dramatic makeup, masks, or fake weapons, including light sabers.

More than $100 million in tickets were pre-sold in North America. The movie premieres tonight.

Some theaters will allow costume pictures in the lobby, but you'll have to return your costume to the car before the movie.
