Former LMPD school resource officer charged with assaulting two teens due in court

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A former LMPD school resource officer is expected to face a judge today on multiple charges, including assault.

Jonathan Hardin is accused of putting a 13-year-old in a choke hold while he was working at Olmsted Academy North Middle School in January of 2014. The teen lost consciousness.

After he regained consciousness, police say Hardin handcuffed him.

Hardin is also accused of pushing another 13-year-old student a week before, and then punching that teen for cutting a lunch line.

Hardin was fired from LMPD in March.
