LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The man accused in connection with the crash that killed a Fort Knox solider over the weekend pleaded not guilty to charges this morning.

Martin Barrington is charged with manslaughter, DUI and assault. He appeared by video arraignment in Hardin County this morning.

Police say on Friday, Barrington crashed his car into a home on N. Logsdon Parkway in Radcliff.

His passenger, Derrick Cleveland, was killed.

Another man in the car was flown to University Hospital. His condition is not known.

Both Cleveland and Barrington are members of the 19th Engineering Battalion at Fort Knox.

In court this morning, the judge said Barrington admitted to drinking alcohol and speeding. A not guilty plea was entered on his behalf.
