LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- New Albany Police say Keontez Malone has been arrested in connection to a murder at a Waffle House.

A warrant for Malone's arrest had been issued last week and Malone had been identified as the second suspect who with Marcus Threatt, Jr. -- who police had already arrested.

Officials say the shooting happened the morning of Saturday, Dec. 12, at the Waffle House restaurant on West Spring Street.

New Albany Chief of Police Col. Todd Bailey said 24-year-old Charles Fischbach, of Lanesville, was found on the ground near a vehicle in the restaurant's parking lot on Spring Street. Police say Fischbach had been shot.

Floyd County Prosecutor Keith Henderson said it appears the incident involved either a robbery or attempted robbery during a consensual drug deal.

Chief Bailey says Fischbach was taken by EMS to University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
