Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police say a man found dead on Dahlia Avenue Monday may have been murdered.

Detectives won't say what the cause of death is, but say they are investigating it as a homicide.

The Jefferson County Coroner's Office says 45-year-old Bobby Estes was pronounced dead at the scene 9 a.m. Monday. Again, the cause of death is not being released yet.

Police say the victim is a white male, possibly in his 30s, who was found near a fence.

A resident from the area says it's a safe neighborhood, but they've been dealing with frequent break-ins.

Police say the investigation is open and no one has been arrested, they are asking anyone with information to contact the LMPD tipline at 574-LMPD.
