LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Ford has recalled more than 300,000 cars for headlight problems that have led to nearly a dozen wrecks.

The recall covers some 2003 to 2005 Ford Crown Victorias and Mercury Grand Marquis models. Company officials say some joints in the lighting control module can crack, cutting power to the headlights.

Ford says it knows of 11 crashes because of the problem.

Dealers will replace the lighting control module at no cost to owners.
