LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Christmas wish will soon come true for an 11-year-old girl in a wheelchair.

Addison Hall who has Spina bifida. She loves to hunt -- though she's only known life in a wheelchair.

"Honestly, it was heartbreaking. I read her Gofundme page, I think the thought that was the neatest, was she never asked for anything," Matt Schneider, the owner of Kentucky Track Chair said.

"It's just hard for her to be able to go where everybody else gets to go," Addison's mom, Shari Hall, said.

Addison's aunt Karen Miles has been planning a surprise, trying to raise $20,000 for a new wheelchair. She set up the donation page and after a WDRB story, more than $10,000 was raised -- some from anonymous donors.

"This is called an Action Track Wheelchair. It's an all terrain powered wheelchair," Schneider said.

Schneider stepped in and was able to get a demo chair at a discount. It can easily go up and down hills. It can go off road, in sand and snow.

"The chairs come up with big anti-tippers which is a big safety feature," Schneider said.

With its camo seat, this chair will soon be delivered to her family on Wednesday night, right before Christmas Eve.

"With a man named Billy Mudd, he works with Outdoors without Limits, which is the outdoor hunting group. He is going to go with me and we're going to present the chair to her mother," Schneider said.

Addison is still at Frazier Rehab, but her family is hoping she can come home on Christmas Eve for this surprise.

"With Addison, this is going to be a chance to be with her family and go outside and do the things she wants to do with them," said Schneider.

Addison's family still has medical bills and would like to get accessories for her new chair, you can donate to her Gofundme page.
