Louisville International Airport drops holiday music after complaints

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- It's a silent night -- and day -- at the Louisville International Airport.

If you're traveling over the holidays, you may notice there's no holiday music being played at the airport. Actually, there's no music at all.

We talked with Trish Burke with the Regional Airport Authority who says that's because they got some "not so happy with the music" phone calls from customers.

Burke says they tried to switch things up -- from traditional holiday music to contemporary to a mixture -- but the complaints kept coming. The biggest issue: the music made it hard to hear pages.

So Burke says they decided to cut the music out all together.
