LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville man is in trouble with the law after police say he intentionally hit a police officer with his vehicle.

According to the arrest warrant, it happened Feb. 1, 2014, at a Circle K in the 4100 block of Dixie Hwy. Police say 26-year-old Marcus Pendleton was seated in his vehicle when an officer approached him to question him about an ongoing investigation.

Police say Pendleton refused to cooperate and "put his motor vehicle in reverse and backed up at a high rate of speed," nearly striking an officer.

That's when police say Pendleton "put the vehicle in drive and accelerated," hitting another officer on the left side of his body.

Police arrested Pendleton on Dec. 27, 2015. He is now charged with assault, wanton endangerment and fleeing or evading police.
