Special election will let Oldham Co. voters decide whether to allow alcohol sales

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Oldham County voters will decide whether to allow alcohol sales tomorrow.

A special election is being held. Right now, Oldham County's alcohol laws prohibit the sales of packaged liquor anywhere outside of LaGrange.

Thousands of people signed a petition asking for the special election. Voters will be able to decide if the county will remain dry or go wet.

Supporters hope a "yes" vote will boost tourism.
