LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A woman accused of running over a Louisville auto shop owner appeared in court Wednesday.

Ashley Brown, 28, entered a not guilty plea.

Investigators say Brown and another man tried burglarizing Napa Auto Care Center on the Outer Loop, near National Turnpike last month.

Police say Brown ran over one of the owners with an SUV while trying to get away.

She faces several charges including assault and turned herself in to authorities on Tuesday.

"You are very, very fortunate that you're only charged with assault, but for the grace of God you could be charged with a homicide here. (These are) very serious allegations (and a) very scary set of circumstances presented to the court this morning," said Judge David Holton.

Brown's bond is set at $25,000.
