Fire damages rest area in Hart County

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A rest area in Hart County has been damaged due to a fire.

Authorities with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet say it happened at the Southbound Rest Area on I-65 in Hart County near mile point 59/60.

Officials say the fire was reported just before 2 a.m. Tuesday.

The rest area will be closed for several days, according to officials.

Officials with the the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet say no one is being allowed near the building.

Authorities say investigators with the Horse Cave Fire Department and the Kentucky State Police are still at the scene.
