Jeffersontown Police say two men robbed victim at gunpoint
The two suspects were taken into custody on Monday night.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Jeffersontown Police have arrested two men authorities say participated in the armed robbery of a victim.
Tevin Humphrey, 21, and Bryant Crowder, 22, were arrested Monday night, according to official police records.
Police say officers responded to a call about an armed robbery.
Jeffersontown Police say it happened in the 200 block of Stoke on Trent, which is inside the Parliament Square Apartment complex.
Officials say both Humphrey and Crowder were seen running in the area where the robbery happened. Authorities also say the pair were wearing clothing that matched the description of the suspects.
Authorities say Humphrey was located by a K9 unit hiding in some bushes. Officials say Humphrey ran from police. Officials also say Humphrey told police he threw a gun in the bushes in an effort to hide it.
Investigators say Crowder allegedly ran from police through a shallow creek and was tased. Crowder was also in possession of stolen property and a stolen firearm, according to police.
Police say Crowder had a "9 mm loaded with a round in the chamber." Humphrey was in possession of a cell phone that had been stolen from the victim during the robbery, according to police.
Officials say that the victim stated that both suspects pointed guns at him.
Police records state that a loaded 9 mm handgun was found in the area where Humphrey said he threw the weapon.
Authorities say Humphrey admitted to police that he and Crowder robbed the victim.
Humphrey and Crowder are charged with robbery, fleeing and evading police and wanton endangerment.
Crowder is also charged with receipt of stolen property. Humphrey faces an additional charge of tampering with physical evidence.
