New Albany police looking for suspects after assault victim found unconscious

NEW ALBANY, Ind. (WDRB) -- The New Albany Police Department is investigating after an apparent assault victim was found unconscious in the 300 block of Erni Avenue early Wednesday. 

According to a news release from New Albany police, around 1:10 a.m. police were advised that a man was down near the sidewalk in front of 306 Erni Avenue. Upon arrival officers found a man unconscious and unresponsive. 

Police say the 38-year-old victim was taken to University Hospital in Louisville, but we do not know the extent of his injuries at this time. 

New Albany police are looking for suspects, and anyone with information is asked to call the NAPD Criminal Investigations Division at 812-948-5317 or the NAPD tip line at 812-948-NAPD.
