Yum! Chairman David Novak will retire in May.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Yum! Chairman David Novak will retire in May.
The 63-year-old started as the marketing chief for Pizza Hut in 1986, when the company was still owned by Pepsi-Co. Novak became CEO of Yum Brands in 1999 and chairman in 2000.
The Louisville-based company plans to name one of its board members to succeed Novak at its annual meeting in May.
Greg Creed was named CEO in 2015. Creed is credited with the rollout of Taco Bell's popular Doritos Locos Tacos, which has helped boost the chain's image and sales.
